Oferta Exportable (OFEX) (Exportable Offer) is a tool that has the objective of adjusting, during the two last weeks of production, the estimates offered by the agribusiness companies to base the order allocation process on information that is closer to reality.
It uses the daily cut flower forecast information, performs calculations, and generates more complete data for Postharvest to process the dispatches based on balances that are better adjusted in terms of the flower available. The tool uploads the actual cut flower information every day, and updates the prior daily forecast.
Encouraging a stronger connection between Production and Postharvest, allow a better alignment with the area of logistics in flower allocation matters, provide timely notices when the harvest is early or late, and in general, allow a smoother operation are some of the benefits of the tool.
OFEX appeared at the end of 2021 but it is adjusted and improved every day.
